Can’t get messenger to work after flash upgrade and cant downgrade.?
I have downloaded the newest version of Adobe Flash player, and now I can no longer connect to chat in mail?
I have downloaded the newest version of Adobe Flash player, and now I can no longer connect to chat in mail, the message I get each time is “Your browser must have Flash 9.0.115 or higher installed to load the chat feature.” I have removed it and reinstalled it a couple times. Has anyone else come across this?
I had this same problem. It started when I updated the Adobe Flash Player to the latest version. I tried contacting yahoo, but didn’t get a response. Anyway, I did a little research online and learned that the newest version of the adobe flash player (10.0.12.36 ) is not compatible with yahoo’s email chat features. In order to get the chat feature to work again you will have to reinstall the 9.0.115 flash player. However, good look with finding that. I couldn’t find it anywhere. Even when i found websites that offered it, when i tried to download it they all said that they didn’t support older versions of the flash player. Like I said, I started having problems when I updated the flash player so I just restored my computer back to the day before I did the updates. When it asked me to install the updates again I didn’t. When I logged back on to yahoo everything worked perfectly. Try doing what I did. If that doesn’t work, see if you can find a download for the 9.0.115 adobe flash player and reinstall it. It should work then. You will have to uninstall your current version first before you can install the older version. Good luck!
